Welcome to Fix My Gadget. This website and its services are owned and operated by Mani Digital Marketing (Pty) Ltd. By booking a repair, dropping off a device, or utilizing our collection services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. We prioritize transparency to ensure a smooth professional repair experience.
1. Diagnostics & Quotations
- Diagnostic Process: We offer comprehensive diagnostics to accurately determine the fault of your device. Standard diagnostics are free if the provided quote is accepted.
- Rejection Fees: If you decline the repair quote after extensive hardware disassembly and diagnostics (e.g., complex logic board troubleshooting), a standard diagnostic fee of R350 may apply.
- Quote Validity: All repair quotes are valid for exactly 7 days due to fluctuating exchange rates for imported OEM parts.
- Hidden Damage: If further secondary damage is discovered during repair, work will stop and you will be provided with a revised quote for approval.
2. Data Liability & POPIA Compliance
We handle all devices in strict accordance with the South African Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). However, data loss is an inherent risk in electronic repair.
- Backup Responsibility: It is entirely the customer’s responsibility to back up all data and personal files before handing the device to Mani Digital Marketing (Fix My Gadget).
- No Liability for Loss: Under no circumstances will we be held liable for the loss, corruption, or destruction of data during the repair process or data recovery attempts.
- Privacy Guarantee: Our technicians will never browse, copy, or distribute your personal files. Passwords are used strictly for functionality testing.
3. Abandoned & Uncollected Devices
Please take note of our strict collection policy to avoid loss of ownership:
- Notification: We will notify you via WhatsApp, email, or SMS once your device is ready for collection or requires your approval.
- The 30-Day Rule: Any device left uncollected for 30 calendar days after the final notification will be deemed abandoned.
- Recouping Costs: In accordance with South African law, Mani Digital Marketing (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to dismantle, recycle, or sell abandoned devices to recover costs for labor and parts. No compensation will be payable to the customer after 30 days.
4. Liquid Damage Risks
- Unpredictability: Liquid damage is highly unpredictable. Removing corrosion can sometimes reveal severely degraded copper traces, meaning a device might lose functionality after being cleaned.
- No Guarantees: While we have a high success rate, liquid damage repairs carry no warranty unless specifically stated in writing by management.
5. Warranties & Guarantees

- Coverage: We provide a standard 3-month warranty on most replacement parts and workmanship.
- Voiding the Warranty: Warranties are strictly voided if the device suffers physical impact, liquid exposure, power surges, or if it is opened by an unauthorized third party.
6. Payments & Release
- Payment Terms: Full payment is required before any device is released or handed to courier partners.
- Accepted Methods: We accept EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer), major Credit/Debit Cards, and Cash. Devices are only released once funds reflect in our account.
- Identity Verification: Devices will only be handed over to the person who booked the repair, unless prior written authorization for a third party is provided.
