TV backlight repair starts with the display type.
Sound with a dark picture, uneven brightness or a briefly flashing image can justify display assessment. We separate a lighting fault from input, power, board and panel problems before quoting.

Backlight and screen are different parts of an LCD display
An LED/LCD television uses a lighting system behind or around the LCD panel. Damage to that lighting system is different from a crack in the image-producing panel. Replacing lights cannot repair cracked glass, and replacing a main board cannot be assumed to cure every dark screen. Explain whether sound continues, the menu appears and there are any impact marks.
OLED is a different repair route
OLED televisions do not use the separate LED backlight strips found in an LCD television. Send the full model so the correct display technology is identified before work is discussed. Terms such as LED, QLED and OLED are not interchangeable part descriptions. A quotation copied from another television may concern a completely different job.
Useful observations before collection
Record whether the television starts normally, flashes briefly, becomes dark after warming up or shows patches of uneven brightness. Note whether the fault affects its own menu as well as connected devices. Take a whole-screen photo and a short video of an intermittent symptom. Keep the cabinet closed and avoid pressing the panel or attempting internal tests.
What workshop assessment needs to establish
The proposed repair depends on checking the lighting system, its supply and the condition of the display assembly. Dismantling a large television involves a fragile panel, so existing cracks, frame distortion and handling risk matter. The written quotation should explain the repair proposed, the compatible parts available and whether another fault changes the decision.
Testing is part of the discussion
Ask how the picture, brightness, startup behaviour and recurring symptom will be checked after the proposed work. A television that lights for a moment is not the same as a unit that operates normally through testing. The applicable warranty and any remaining limitations belong in the repair discussion before approval.
Arrange transport after the model is reviewed
We assess televisions at the Kibler Park workshop. Paid collection may be arranged once the area, size, panel condition and access are understood. Send wall-mount details, stairs or other handling constraints before a collection window is agreed. Availability and the transport quotation are confirmed directly.

Questions before booking
Does sound with no picture always mean backlight failure?
No. Input equipment, power, boards and the panel path can produce similar symptoms. Assessment is needed.
Can a backlight replacement remove screen cracks?
No. The lighting system and the LCD panel are different. Send crack photographs before arranging transport.
Do you repair OLED backlight strips?
OLED does not use separate LED/LCD backlight strips. We need the exact model to discuss the appropriate assessment.
A clear quote before work begins
The assessed fault, compatible part and availability determine the written quote.
Send the area, device size and access details for a transport quotation and available collection window.
